Ham with Pineapple
This ham with pineapple is a simple baked treat for Easter or just a special Sunday! The Pineapple sauce resembles a sweet chutney and is the perfect accompaniment for the ham!

smoked ham
(freeze the other half for future use)
1/2
20 oz
can crushed pineapple
1/3
cup
brown sugar
1
tbsp
cider vinegar
1
tsp
dry mustard

whole cloves,
plus more for garnish
1
zest and juice of one orange plus orange slices for garnish

Instructions
Place all ingredients in a small saute pan.
Bring to boil, then reduce heat and cook on medium low until thick, stirring occasionally. about 30 minutes.
Slice fat layer on ham crossways to form a hatch pattern. Top with a thick layer of pineapple sauce.
Slice orange thin and secure orange slices to top of ham with additional whole cloves.
Bake 325°F for about 20 minutes per pound, about 1 1/2 hour. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
Serve with additional pineapple sauce, either hot or cold!

Preheat oven.
Move rack to bottom third of oven.
If ham is getting too browned toward the end of cooking time, cover with aluminum foil.
