If using dried peppers. Grind peppers with mini grinder or spice mill or mortar and pestle or molcajete. Commercially prepared ground pepper products can also be used.
1 Tbsp ground cayenne pepper
Combine salt with ground peppers. I like to leave it a bit coarse.
1/2 cup coarse kosher or sea salt
Taste salt to make sure it is within your heat tolerance range. Add more peppers if it is not spicy enough or more salt if it is too salty.
Store in an air tight container indefinitely.
