Grilled Peaches Dessert | Easy Summer Dessert
Grilled Peaches with Blackberry Sauce is such a simple, yet elegant end of summer dessert! They also take less than 5 minutes to prepare!

I have given you quite a few different recipes for grilling this summer like this gorgeous appetizer, Grilled Brie with Strawberries and Balsamic and these sticky, Smoky Ribs on the grill.
Now, I thought to end my beloved grilling season, I would show you a super simple, but elegant dessert to serve when the peaches are ripe!
What you need
- peaches – you could also use nectarines, plums, or apricots
- melted butter
- basil
For blackberry sauce
- blackberries
- red wine, dry
- water
- turbinado sugar, can sub white sugar or even brown sugar
- lemon zest
- cinnamon
- cardamom

How to make grilled peaches
- First, prepare the blackberry sauce. Place all of the ingredients in a small saucepan. Heat to boiling, then reduce heat and simmer over medium heat until the sauce is thick and the berries have broken down, about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. This step can be done several days in advance. Heat grill before prepping peaches over medium-high heat. The grill grates should be very hot so the peaches don’t stick.
- Cut peaches in half. (Make sure that you purchase freestone peaches! Clingstone peaches will not work because you can not get the 2 halves apart.) To remove the pit, twist the two halves in opposite directions. The pit will stay in one half. Just pull that out with your fingers or a paring knife. Brush butter on cut sides of the peaches.
- Place peaches on a hot grill, skin side down. Grill for 4 or 5 minutes.
- Flip peach halves and grill on the cut side for about the same time, until you achieve nice grill marks. Serve with a drizzling of warm blackberry sauce and ice cream or whipped cream. Garnish with sprig of fresh basil.

Why you should make this easy dessert
- It is incredibly easy. Only takes about 20 minutes, including the sauce.
- Uses the freshest, seasonal ingredients for crowd pleasing favorite.
- Impressive enough to serve to guests.
- Sauce can be made ahead. At least 2-3 days ahead so that the whole dessert will take less than 10 minutes when you want to serve it. Warm sauce in microwave for about a minute to reheat.
- Grilling the peaches enhances the natural sweetness of this delicious dessert.
- You could use coconut oil or a mild canola, olive or vegetable oil, instead of butter to make this dessert dairy free and vegan.
- Naturally gluten free.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or even a piece of pound cake and whipped cream, or sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on top.
- Use a gas grill, charcoal grill or even a grill pan on the stove if you don’t have a grill.
Pro tips for your success
- Important to use a variety of peaches that is freestone. Clingstone peaches will not split well and your presentation will suffer.
- Use ripe but firm peaches. You don’t want the peaches too soft or they will fall apart.
- Eliminate the wine if serving to kids or substitute lemon juice. The sauce is still good without it.
- Make sure that your grill is very hot.
- Basil or mint can be used for the garnish. It also really pairs well with the flavor profiles in this dessert.
- Make sauce ahead if serving to company so that it only takes you a few minutes to make.
