Spicy Nuts – Great for Parties or Gifts!
Spicy nuts can be made with any nuts you have on hand! They are easy, delicious, and perfect for your next party table or for gift-giving!

The best part is they can be made in less than 15 minutes. If you have a spice lover in your house or on your gift list, they will thank you for these.
Spicy nuts are a healthy snack
Did you know that pecans have been deemed healthier for you than any other tree nut? Tis true. This article explains the health benefits of pecans.
Pecans are heart-healthy, they are great for skin and hair, they are anti-carcinogenic, contain anti-inflammatory properties, and can even help you lose weight. For this reason alone, I always have some pecans in the freezer.

How do you store Spicy Nuts to preserve flavor?
Notice I said freezer there? Store your opened nuts in an air-tight container, such as a half pint canning jar, in the freezer to prolong their freshness.
How to make them
- Toast nuts in the oven for about 10 minutes, until golden and fragrant.
- Place Sugar, salt, and cayenne pepper in a large bowl.
- Mix well.
- Place water, honey, and olive oil in a large skillet. Bring to a bubble.
- Coat nuts with the mixture.
- Once coated, transfer nuts to bowl and coat with sugar mixture,
- Turn Nuts onto cookie sheet in a single layer until dry. At least a few hours, or overnight.

See how easy they actually are? These Spicy Nuts are an edible, from your heart, gift. Or they are a great appetizer for your guests, any time of the year!
Do you like to give edible gifts? It is one of my favorite things to share with friends and family! My Pickled Peppers are requested often, only second to my Cowboy Candy. Blackberry Syrup and Strawberry Jam are big favorites too!
